YOU MUST HAVE READ THIS TO APPLY FOR A SANDWING CHARACTER! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE WINGS OF FIRE SERIES.
Appearance
SandWings are light scaled dragons, with colors ranging from light gold to yellow to white to pale sandy brown. All SandWings have obsidian eyes, and a black forked tounge. They have short, curved horns and a sail that traces its way from the top of the snout to three quarters of the way down their tails. The end of each tail is home to a scorpion-like barb, usually black in color. Some SandWing's will have unusual patterns, such as light brown dappled scales, black diamond patterns, or triangular markings on a dragon's wings.
(General) Demeanor
(Note that every dragon is different and therefore there will inevitably be exceptions)
SandWings are known for their clever nature. All SandWings are loyal and fierce, though their trust is something that must be earned. If one manages that, SandWings are some of the most dependable dragons in Pyrrhia. Despite this, many SandWings are involved with crime, and can be shady and clever, while others are the opposite. SandWings can be welcoming and kind, while others are violent and suspicious; but loyalty and ferocity is something they all share.
Abilities
SandWing scales radiate warmth, and SandWings are capable of breathing fire. Due to the coloring of their scales, SandWings can camouflage into the desert and they have good hearing and sense of smell. Naturally built for the desert, they can sustain themselves without food or water for long periods of time and can handle heat the best out of any tribe. SandWings have a lot of endurance, enabling them to go for long flights across the desert, from one oasis to another. The barbs on the tip of their tails contain a venom strong enough to kill a full-grown dragon, though the venom does not fully develop until they are older.
Animus magic has been found in the SandWing tribe and though few, the most animus-touched items can be found in this kingdom.
Creation/roleplay guidelines
-SandWings do not have to be clever, but the trait is greatly valued in their society and is rather more common in the tribe.
-SandWings have a low chance of hatching with animus powers. If you have permission to create an animus dragon, you may do it with a SandWing,
-SandWings learn how to control their tail from a young age, so accidental cuts do not occur.
-SandWing venom does not come in until three years of age
